Please advise if this chair has soft wheels. Our office has wooden floors and all our chairs need to have soft wheels
The Office Fitness ball chairs have hard wheels so possibly they are no good for wooden floors
Does the ball have a slow deflate if punctured? Have heard some stories of eventually the ball going pop and dropping to the floow - but some balls have support which allows a slow deflate which is obviously safer. Could you confirm?

Once the ball is inflated, what is the typical sitting height (i.e. bum to floor distance)? Just wondering if this will be adequate for my office desk at home or whether my keyboard will be at eye-level instead!

I know that ---------- University have these type of chairs in there sports department. As a sport therapist and acupuncturist I know the benefits of this type of chair and I have been advising these to staff. However I now want to have solid proof they work and do the job.
Solid proof is a tricky question and I would shy away from giving an answer that suggests there is solid evidence. As far as I know no studies have been conducted specifically relating to ball chairs although several have been done on swiss balls.
All I can offer is anecdotal evidence based on customer feedback that it a) addresses long standing back issues ( even though we do not sell these as a curative measure) and b) it promotes enhanced core stability
We regularly attend national shows visited by physios, chiropractors and osteopaths and frequently they cite ball chairs and swiss balls as being more beneficial than £1000+ ergonomic chairs designed for back sufferers.
The principal advantages of our chair over the swiss ball is the smaller footprint, the fact that it's on wheels ( and so you can move more easily round your work area) and that is slightly more conventional looking ( although still pretty radical for many offices)
Can the ball be removed and used separately as a normal balance ball?
Yes it definitely can be removed and used separately. You can just pull up on the ball to remove it. Then you just push it back on the chair to replace it. There is a retention bar on the chair in front which holds the ball in place but also allows you to pull the ball off and push the ball back on.
Are the Ball Chair Height Adjsuters included with ball chair?
No, they are sold separately.
Does it come with the ball?
Yes. It comes with a 48cm ball. It might seem too small when you first inflate it but that's because the ball needs to stretch and relax. Pump it up then let it sit over night and finish inflating it in the morning.

"I to go to the same expo’s as a therapist and I know the benefits and I’ve been look at evidence not just in the UK. The general rule is back rest or no back rest. For me no back rest has far more benefits as you are “active” sitting the muscles in your back and abs are constantly adjusting to hold that perfect position. I tend to think that while a back rest is nice it does allow you to tilt and slouch thereby reducing the effectiveness of the ball chair. Your thoughts on this would be interesting as I like to get another few point."

The backrests are primarily there to provide relief, i,e leaning back for a few seconds rather than prolonged usage. As they are more conventional looking many firms go for these particularly as they are compliant with ergonomic requirements for adjustability. If the user is of reasonable health though, with no chronic back issues, I would say the no backrest model is fine in the majority of cases"
