Does it wobble when you type?
It's very sturdy and does not wobble at all. The monitors may hardly move when going up/down but the desk itself is solid.
how close the keyboard tray is to the desk at it's lowest position?

Regarding the StandEasy DeskRiser LX, would that be suitable to use with a laptop? if the laptop is placed on the platform that is really for a monitor, would it then be too high? Or can it be adjusted so that you can have the monitor platform at a height to suit you?
It's ideal for a laptop but if you have a separate monitor that would work as well.
When sitting down I would recommend either taking the laptop off the stand to be flat on the desk or having a separate keyboard and keeping the laptop at platform level so that it's at eye line. This arrangement (separate keyboard) is probably the optimum for both sitting and standing
